ORA-19566 – Free Block Corruption


I was copying a datafile using RMAN COPY, and hit a corrupted block – ORA-19566. I tried my usual Block Recovery commands, but learned the block is not really associated with an object, rather in a Free Extent.  Here I used a totally different method to recover a Free Block ( listed in DBA_FREE_SPACE).
